Momma & Lucy

Mom & LucyToday is our 59th day living in the hospital and Lucy has come quite a long way from when she was born. She has almost doubled her birth weight and now weighs 3lbs. 12.3oz. She still has trouble bottle feeding, but does well nursing. She's finally out of an isolette and is now in a "big girl" bassinet.

It's amazing to see her progress every day. We've had a few set backs here and there, but overall we're well on our way to getting her home. We're so excited to get our lovely little girl home in several more weeks, right where she belongs.

Spring is in the air

Fifty one days into our hospital stay and our little Lucy has graduated to a big girl bed and is just big enough to start wearing clothes. At this point everything is baggy but adorable none the less. She is now 3 lbs and 7 oz. What a big girl! Her mommy and daddy are so proud of her for all the big girl things she is doing now. She's growing like a weed. We are just so crazy about our little girl and can't to be able to show her off to all our family and friends.

Time Flies

My how time flies. Little Lucy is nearly 6 weeks old! She now weighs a whooping 2 lbs. 11oz. Everyday we weigh her I tell her to think heavy thoughts :) We are making progress everyday and getting stronger by the minute not to mention her hat collection is getting bigger by the minute too (Thank you JoAnne). Each day a new adventure and another day older. Between tubby baths and photo shoots little Lu keeps us busy. I always heard that motherhood changes you but no one could even begin to explain how your heart swells with each smooch on the head, crooked smile, and snuggle session. We feel so lucky to have our Lucy in our lives and can't wait for all the amazing times ahead. Thank you to everyone for the sweet cards and prayers. Your love helps to keep us strong. xoxo Sarah
