Happy 1st Birthday!

Lucy has had an amazing first year since her surprise early arrival. She's been through so much and inspired many lives in just a short amount of time. There's truly no stronger person we know. We're lucky parents and look forward to many more smashed cakes with dirty icing fingers. Hope you enjoy the many ponies we promised you this year, Lucy. We all know you deserve them.

G-Tube

Lucy is scheduled for an inpatient hospital visit next week to get her G-Tube placed and possibly Laparoscopic Nissen surgery, to help correct her severe reflux, Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

The surgery will strengthen the valve between the esophagus and stomach, which stops acid from backing up into the esophagus easily. We hope the surgery can be videoscopic, which is less invasive with a quicker recovery time. If left untreated, it can cause ulcers and narrowing of the esophagus.

We'll keep everyone updated on how Lucy is doing and if she is able to have the surgery.

Lucy outgrew her bouncy seat and got upgraded to a new rocker chair for her early birthday gift.

Bumbo Baby

Lucy has just been sitting up by herself in her Bumbo seat longer now and is getting much stronger. Someone has to show these toys who's the boss!

Movie Night

Sweet little Lu watching Baby Einstein. You can tell she wants more butter on her popcorn, but she's trying to watch her girlish figure. Especially, with her birthday coming around the corner, she has to look good for the party.

Tummy Time

The only way Lucy can be tricked into having tummy time, is laying on her Boppy, watching Baby Einstein on the portable DVD player.

That's also her pink backpack with continuous feeding pump and milk.

Of course she isn't spoiled!
