Rings Gymnast

Rings GymnastLucy is starting to support her neck more and is really concentrating on reaching and grabbing at her toys. She loves to lay on her playtime mat and play with her hanging toys. Pretty soon, she'll be able to sit up all by herself!

She's not sure about becoming a Rings Gymnast yet, because that involves a lot of physical activity. Also, it's hard to gobble on your own chubby fingers when you're hanging onto rings.

Pitter Patter

Let the nail biting begin........Lucy's open heart surgery has been scheduled for August 17th---only a month away. Nervous for the surgery but so excited that our little girl's ticker will finally be fixed. We're ready for pink little leggies and toes. After the surgery Lu will have more energy, less sweating and choking, and hopefully be able to begin oral feedings. Its a very scary time for us, but we've seen how far our little one has come and know her fiesty spirit will pull her through again. So a favor to ask of all of you, whether you're religious/spiritual/in between/or couldn't care less, please think of Lucy on the 17th and say a prayer/have a thought/send a shout out for a successful surgery and quick recovery.

roly poly

Just one day after her five month birthday little Lucy is rolling over! This month our little girl has been a busy bee learning all sorts of new things. She is smiling, laughing, cooing, rolling over, reaching for toys, and banging her rattle. She is such a good baby and the sweetest little girl. We can hardly believe she'll be six months old this month. Time flies when you're having the best time of your life!
