We worked diligently last month to finish converting a spare bedroom into Lucy's playroom. Painting that many stripes on a wall was tedious work and took several rolls of blue painter's tape and coats of paint. The furniture all came from IKEA and other furnishings came from Target. We made a custom 4'x4' chalkboard from a thin piece of plywood and painted it with chalkboard paint, then framed it in with finish trim. Overall, the project turned out great and Lucy absolutely loves the room.

i am SOOOOOOOOO not showing this to my children. thanks for the knocking down in the parental self esteem department. that darn thing is GORGEOUS.
I just emailed this post to my husband informing him that I want a fabulous playroom like this for Josie. I'm sure he's rolling his eyes and groaning saying "Thanks a lot, Lucy!" It should really be in a decorating magazine. Love, love, LOVE it!
You are so creative and awesome at this! Lucy's playroom looks better than our entire house. If I could, I'd hire you to makeover our house...
LOVE the playroom :) your hard work was definitely worth it!
