Happy New Year

With 2008 at an end, we have a lot to reflect on and a lot to look forward to in 2009. It' been a very busy year full of surprises, excitement, tears, and anxiety. Looking back to August 7th when the 5 pregnancy tests I took all laid on the counter in front of me showed positive, it seems like so long ago. Now that our little one is 26 weeks along, it seemed like we would never get this far. Thankfully it looks like she's in it for the long haul. With each day she's wiggling and kicking stronger (the absolute best feeling in the world.) I know I'm not the first woman to be pregnant or experience little bumps in the road, but not to sound too sappy, this all really feels like a miracle. For someone to be so tiny, whom I've only seen on ultrasound and in my dreams, I'm convinced she's the most loved baby to ever be.

So enough with the mushy miracles, butterflies and rainbows, I wish you all the happiest new year filled with surprises, excitement, and tears (of joy).

Happy Holidays 2008

2008 Holiday Card

Happy Holidays from our white trash family to yours.

*No baby was harmed during the making of this card.

Baby Kicking

You can see the baby kicking in my wife's belly.

I warned her not to eat it because they're high in cholesterol,
but did she listen?

NOPE

I think I swallowed an alien

Yesterday was the most exciting yet creepy (by creepy I mean strange and wonderful) day of this pregnancy so far. I was laying in bed (as usual) and with my belly exposed I saw this wave move across the top. It was her!!!! I couldn't stop watching as she put on quite the little show for her mama. Ah, best day ever.

It's a girl!

We had our ultrasound today and we found out we're having a girl! We are so excited and can't wait to meet her.

Now we can start planning to paint the nursery, start buying clothes, and I can teach Josh that he will always be wrong and outnumbered by girls.

Brown County

Pregnant

We visited Brown County, Indiana this weekend and the leaves were absolutely beautiful. We can't wait to visit again next year in the Fall with our new little baby.
